I (Frankie) know that this may be a little TMI. Sorry! I'm just really proud of myself. Maybe this is something you do every day, but not me…
Since I've been doing this work from home thing I've gotten in a really bad habit. I don't get dressed. Well, obviously I don't run around the house naked all day, but I don't put on real clothes. Most days I stay in my PJs and that's bad, really bad.
When I started really getting into fitness, it got a little better. I would get up and put my workout clothes on and then I would just stay in those all day because I did a second workout when my husband got home from work. After the second workout I'd take my shower and then get back in comfy clothes.
But, then life happened. Things got crazy and routines went out the window. I wasn't working out in the mornings and we completely stopped working out in the afternoons. So, unless I had to go to the store, I never changed out of my sleep stuff. I'd take a shower, but get right back in clean sleep clothes. I know, depressing right?
But yesterday, I got up, put my workout clothes on and went to walk. When I got back I didn't immediately run for the shower so I could change. I had to talk myself out of it more times than I'd like to admit, but I stayed dressed all day. Towards the end of the day I did go take a shower (I was sweaty and I knew we weren't working out yesterday afternoon), but when I got out of the shower I put clothes back on and I even put my bra back on! I wore it all day, and let me just say here that it felt great. Not the actual wearing of said bra, but the fact that I stayed dressed all day.
I woke up this morning with more determination than I've felt in a long time. I want to get dressed and workout and work and actually do stuff! So, I'm going to close now and go get dressed. I'm putting my workout clothes on (and actually working out) and I'll be staying dressed (bra included) all day! It's the little things people.
Do you wear a bra all the time? We'd love to hear from you in the comments.
