I (Frankie) have done tons of exercise programs. I start them with the best intentions and then somewhere around week 2, I start falling off. And the one thing I've never really done is follow the meal plan that comes with the program or even changed the way I eat. So, maybe I haven't done tons of exercise programs. Maybe I've just really done one.
On September 11, 2016 I started a program called 22 Minute Hard Corps. It is 6 days of workouts with 1 off day. And it's healthy, clean eating with meal prep and portion control for 8 weeks. So…I did it. I mean I really did it. I did every workout and planned meals and practiced portion control and ate healthy and clean (maybe a cheat meal a few times) and guess what…it worked. I lost 13 pounds in 8 weeks and I feel so much better. Even when I try to have something that isn't so healthy now, I usually end up not eating it or eating just a little because my tastes have changed.
Now, this isn't a plug for 22 Minute Hard Corps. What this blog really is about is how finishing the program and seeing the results made me realize that to see any results with anything in life you have to finish what you start. You can't start something and not finish it and expect it to get you anywhere. Just like this blog post, if I'd started it and stopped after the second paragraph, it would just be junk. No benefit to me or anyone else.
The point is, just finish. Whatever you start in life, follow it through, whether that might be a blog post, an exercise program or even a business venture. Even if the results aren't what you hoped they'd be, at least you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you finished and gave it your all.
Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
