I (Frankie) have to admit that Halloween is my favorite holiday. I know, I know, what about Christmas or Thanksgiving? I like those too, but Halloween is my very favorite. I just love the weather and the beautiful fall colors and I love all things spooky and weird. I love horror movies and haunted houses and getting so scared I almost pee myself. I love that for one night out of the year we can be someone else and no one judges us for it except to give out the award for best Halloween costume.
When my kids were young we decided that rather than take them trick-or-treating we'd have a little party for them. It turned into kind of a family reunion Halloween party and then a Halloween tradition. We would dress up, play games, build these elaborate haunted houses and trails and of course, eat, eat, eat. Those were amazing times and my kids never missed going trick-or-treating. When the kids got older they started inviting their friends and our Halloween family party turned into a community event every year. It was awesome.
We haven't had a party in a few years now, so every Halloween I get just a little depressed. I miss it so much. It was something I looked forward to all year. My husband and I are definitely starting it back when we get our land. It's going to be awesome again. It's something I want my grandchildren to experience, something we can pass down to them to carry on for generations to come.
I hope you all have a spectacularly spooky Halloween.

Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
