I know that I've told you all this before, but I (Frankie) am a real stickler about routine. I have a daily routine that I follow and it keeps me happy, stress-free and sane, all the while allowing me to get the things done that I need to get done. It gives my mind and body something I can depend on every day. So, when that routine gets screwed up for any reason, you might imagine that I lose it. Completely, utterly, insanely lose it. And that brings me to the topic of this post; time change…
Every year at this time my world gets turned upside down. This past Monday was absolutely the longest workday in the history of workdays. I thought it would never end. I was up at 4:30 am and my daily routine was thrown out of whack from the second my feet hit the floor. By 2 pm I was starving for supper and could not for the life of me figure out why the day wasn't over. By 6 pm it was pitch black outside and I was ready for bed. It was horrible!
Today is Thursday and I'm in a somewhat better place. I've adjusted my routine to fit the time change and things are starting to get back to normal for me…until Sunday, March 12, 2017 when the powers that be decide we need to spring forward. UGH!
We'd love to hear from you. Let us know in the comments how springing forward and falling back affect you and your routines.
Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
