We try to make our Thursday message more personal - something that’s about us and how we live our work at home lives. Today I (Andrea) am just going to share a little something about me. I love Christmas. A lot. There are traditions and rituals that I go through each year that I must go through in order for it to be Christmas.
But I don’t just think Christmas now. It’s with me every day of the year, in every room of my house. There is something Christmasy that will always be left around the house. My Christmas Moose has been with me for at least 13 years (he used to be an Office Moose before I started working from home).
Why do I leave bells, or candles, or little Santas around? Am I crazy? (Possibly a little.) Am I obsessed? (There might be a borderline obsession there.) I leave them around because they are reminders of a positive, happy, wonderful time of the year. This house is my office now, and as I work in it, I need boosts of positivism, especially on those days when I’ve had to deal with very “un-positive” people. The trinkets of Christmas...bells, a candle, a moose…. They are my boosts.
What do you like to surround yourself with to keep you positive? #letsmakeitpersonal and share your boosts with us!
Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
