Distractions can be the biggest productivity killer in your workday. Trust me, I (Frankie) have plenty. Common ones are answering personal texts and emails, social media, personal phone calls, and the list goes on. One that some may not think of as a distraction, but is huge for me is shopping during my "work" hours.
I know you're thinking, "What are you doing shopping during your work day?" Well, I work from home, so if I need to run to the store to pick up something for dinner or whatever I can do that. And, if I would just get what I need and come home everything would be fine. The problem comes when 2 hours after I enter the store I emerge all glassy eyed with a cart full of stuff that I probably didn't really need and honestly don't remember how half of it got in the cart to begin with. Then the horror hits that I've wasted 2 hours of a perfectly good work day when I really could have used to that 2 hours to get some important stuff done.
My #tipoftheday; stay out of the store during your work hours. If you know you can run in, get what you need and get out then by all means, go for it. But, if you're like me and get lost for hours like you entered the Bermuda Triangle, then save the shopping for after work hours or when you truly have nothing to do.

Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
