One of the questions I (Frankie) get asked the most is, "How much money can I make working from home?" It's a very good question and I'm just going to touch the surface today.
The answer varies depending on who you ask. If you ask a scammer, they will tell you that you can make $10k a week doing practically nothing. I'm here to tell you, that's a flat out lie. If you could do that we'd all be rich. It just isn't possible.
So, how much can you expect to make working from home? It's kind of up to you. Working from home is not sitting back on the couch counting the money that is rolling in. Working from home is WORK and you get out of it what you put into it. When you first start out you're probably not going to make that much. You have to get regular clients built up.
It's taken me about 4 years, but I'm now making what I would be making at a good job outside the home. Starting out you may be making $10 - $12 an hour. That's fine, but don't sell yourself short. After you get your client base built up and have made a little reputation for yourself, raise your rates a little until you feel you're making what you're worth.
The bottom line is it isn't easy. It's work, and sometimes it's really hard work, but if you keep at it you will eventually get to a place where you are making a living working from home. You're probably not going to be pulling in $10k a week, but you can at least make the car payment.
Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
