I (Andrea) want you to do something right now. Go to your browser and search “best work at home jobs.” You’re going to get various websites that all tell you what the best jobs are to have. These jobs include:
Now, these are all just some of the many legitimate work from home jobs out there, but I’m going to let you in on a secret. They are not actually the best work at home jobs to have. The cat is officially out of the bag!
Let me clarify.
These are all fine jobs. But the best work at home job for me is not the best one for you. I love being a virtual assistant. I have a background filled with years of complex skills and I use them all the time. I’m almost completely attached to my laptop. It really is one of the best jobs for me. But for my husband? No way. He would hate my job, no matter how much money he’d get paid. He’d be miserable, because he finds it completely boring doing office-type work, and computer-type work. This stuff puts him asleep.
But, if he could work from home digging ditches, or landscaping, or really anything that involves physical labor and not sitting at a desk, he would be happy. That would be his best work at home job.
When you’re looking for some kind of work to do at home, you really need to look within yourself and figure out what you can and cannot do. What you are willing and aren’t willing to do. What would bore you to tears or make you excited to get up and go every morning. Only then will you find your best work at home job.
Tell us, what job working from home would be awful for you and what would you love to do?
Frankie and Andrea take turns sharing stories. Just good talk over a cup of coffee.
